A4C Celebrates 10TH Anniversary

Eskimos Kobia (Secretary General - Kenya Parents Association) is joined by Kenn (A4C Founder) and other attendees in cutting the cake

On Saturday, 4th July 2026, Art For Children Foundation (A4C) celebrated its 10th anniversary at Guest House Jane from 8:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. The celebration brought together volunteers, partners, representatives from children’s homes, and members of the public to commemorate a decade of impact and service.

The event officially began with a presentation by Kenn, the founder of A4C, who shared the inspiring journey of the organization, its vision, and how it was established. His remarks reflected on the milestones achieved over the past ten years and the collective effort that has driven the organization’s growth.

This was followed by engaging panel discussions, during which volunteers and members of the public shared their experiences with A4C. They discussed their motivations for volunteering, the challenges they have encountered, and their recommendations for strengthening and growing the organization in the years ahead. The discussions provided valuable insights and encouraged meaningful dialogue among attendees.

After a short break, participants took part in creative painting sessions, which included pottery painting and canvas painting. Attendees also had the opportunity to read heartfelt letters written by children from various children’s homes and, in return, wrote letters back to them. This activity fostered a deeper connection between the participants and the children supported by the foundation.

It wouldn’t be a celebration without the cake-cutting session, where there were music and dance as the cake was shared together with everyone. During this session, Ruphas Chege (alias Wagacii) – an A4C Board member – taught us his new song “Love Shared” and performed it to the audience for the first time.

The 10th anniversary celebration was a memorable occasion that honored A4C’s achievements, celebrated the dedication of its volunteers and partners, and marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

The event concluded with the official launch of Sema Space, A4C’s newest initiative. Sema Space is a monthly platform where people share real life stories – to learn from and appreciate each other. The inaugural session featured Mr. Eskimos Kobia – Secretary General of Kenya Parents Association and a friend and partner of A4C, who officially set the stage for future conversations and learning opportunities. The Sema Space will be done every first Saturday of the month.

Having been the first speaker Kenn awarded Mr. Eskimos with a canvas painting that every attendee painted on that day.
